Albuquerque Modern Dentists

The service was fine. What I have an issue with is the lack of competence of the office staff. Unfortunately, some Veterans have no choice but to travel several hours one way for a dental appointment because the VA does not have clinics in rural areas. The VA does reimburse for travel, but we need proof from the office that we attended the appointment. And that's where they failed miserably. I called and verified my information, and yet they refuse to provide any letter or information to me about the dates I was there. Last time I checked, as long as a patient confirms his identity, you are allowed to share personal information, like what dates I was there for an appointment. But instead, they have me jumping through hoops just so I can submit a travel claim. I will respectfully request another provider next time. Their office staff needs more training.

Do not go here. They are scammers who will tell you that your insurance doesn’t cover a needless service and then charge both you and your insurance separately. I went here along with my husband, my friend, and her husband, they told us all that we had the exact same problems with our teeth/gums despite our differing lifestyles and concerns. They then told us all that our insurance didn’t cover any of the services they so desperately needed to perform to fix our teeth. It took my husband and I MONTHS and having to speak with a lawyer to get the $700+ that they owed us AND, upon consulting with a different dentist in town, we both were told that we didn’t have any of the issues we were told we had by Modern. When we were trying to get reimbursed they would regularly hang up on us and we’re extremely rude. Our friends just found out through their insurance that they were also double charged and had unnecessary procedures performed at a cost to both them and their insurance. I cannot say

Great place! I do not like going to the dentist but these lovely people are so nice! The dentist Dr Urbane and his assistant sat with me and talked till I was calm. No rush and VERY professional! We discussed several options for treatment and I left there feeling like I’ve found the best!! Thank you Albuquerque Modern Dentists!!
