I am an old timer, 78 years old. I remember when root canals used to be feared because of the pain. Perhaps you can imagine my surprise after a root canal from Dr. Chumbler a couple of days ago, without any pain during or after the procedure. He told me there has been tremendous advances in previous years to alleviate pain during the process. I was impressed with the technology he used and the entire procedure. His assistant was very solicitous of my well being, before, during, and after. I was surprised when the numbness of the (painless) injection wore off and I still didn't feel any soreness in the area. I wish all of life could be as painless as a root canal. Never thought I'd say that.

Doc and the gals here are a fabulous crew! Their rapport with the patients and each other is fantastic, no complaints! Dr. Chumbler explains everything as he works, no surprises, he takes extra time to make sure you're numb if you need it and that you're comfortable during any procedures. This place has recently been remodeled and looks amazing, very classy. Friendly, happy assistants and hygienists. Highly recommend, wish they accepted kids, I'd bring them here, too! I understand they take kids at the other location, but we prefer this location for Dr. Chumbler. Thank you, Backbay! Special thanks to Dr. Chumbler, Danielle and Melissa!!!
