Children's Dental Center: Carr, Kimberly DMD

As a former 1 day employee this is NOT a full functioning office. There is NO staff (Office Manager, Patient Coordinator, Hygienists, Assistants with the exception of one, etc). The lack of support within the office makes it less appealing to the public eye. Dr. Carr does not show up to her office on time. I waited for hours to enter the building because her one employee has a key (which is the key holders job that’s none existent). If you are looking for a pediatric office for your babies I highly recommend Powell Pediatric Dentistry in homewood. The negative reviews are 100% from an insider looking out. Stray away!

Dr. Carr is super sweet ! My daughter starts to cry and panic once the chair leans back...every time. Dr. Carr is always so patient and talks her through everything she's doing (even if my daughter isn't wanting to hear it) She makes sure to keep parents informed on what is going on and what your options are. I would recommend!

I am extremely disappointed with the total lack of professionalism and the awful treatment my daughter and I received at this place. We have going here for more than a year. Because I believe in supporting professional women of color as role models for my daughter, I have chosen to overlook certain things like the extremely long time it takes to be seen at this office. But, as of today we are DONE. My breaking point: this doctor, despite the fact that we have great insurance, chose to put a silver cap on my daughter's tooth rather than a white cap as I have specifically requested and paid for in the past. There was never an apology. Instead, Dr. Carr was subtly condescending and proceeding to make excuses for her office's poor communication. My daughter even told me later that Dr. Carr and her assistant did not listen to her when she expressed the procedure was becoming painful to her. She is eight years old!! I usually don't write reviews. However, tonight we had to make an exception.
