Dental Specialties of NY

Terrible! I waited over 2hrs to see a “specialist”. Paid $125 for a consultation…. Saw an ASSISTANT who took an XTRAY of my mouth, showed the “specialist” who refused to see me from a “picture on a phone” and then Proceeded to basically say “we can only remove it or redo the root canal which will cost you an arm and leg regardless” since they don’t take my insurance…. Didn’t mention anything about me having to see an oral surgeon to do what I needed to do….. thank God there was a nice man at the front who went and had to ask the “specialist” who then stated he would “write the referral”…. Ended up leaving without a referral…. Ps. 1.5 hrs in I asked the lady at the front how long again it would be… she said 5 mins they were “preparing the room” . I was not called until ALL of the people, even those who came after me was seen… I’m really disgusted…. I paid to see a specialist and didn’t even see him. Very unprofessional. I wish I had read reviews before going to see them. Utterly disappointed in the care I received. Never saw an actual provider. Only the Medical Assistant. Everyone played the blame game and further my lovely experience…staff were having a very crude conversation regarding women and laying the f-bomb every other word. I was Horrified as the office was filled with kids! Trying to find a new provider. This was an awful experience.

My mom had a surgery don’t with Aryan Sydegi when he was working at Jamaica dental. We paid $1200 for an extraction with bone graft placement. She went for a follow up and was told everything was okay even thought my mom was complaining of swelling. A year later my mom still has swelling in the area, came to the doctor for f/u, they are saying we gotta pay $200 for a consultation bc he doesn’t take her insurance. What kind of nonsense is this?
