Dr. Lena D. Karkalas, DDS

I went to Dr. Karkalas for a consult on receiving Botox for TMJ disorder related pain. The fee: the consult was $250. I don't recall this being advertised or clarified to me at any time prior to very END of the appointment as I stood at checkout. It was very much a surprise. I didn't call. I did everything online. The fee was not disclosed, and I have a paper trail. The visit: I have a semi-long history with receiving orthodontic treatment and other pain management for problems in my head/neck/back. I use a night guard issued from my orthodontist, which has worked better than any items used previously. While speaking, Dr. Karkalas appeared to be giving me a very strong and rote sales pitch. She was insisting I buy and use HER mouth guard as part of getting injections. When I said I'd used that type in the past and it seemed to cause more discomfort, she insisted it was the best. Outstanding dentist. Fantastic staff. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Karkalas for at least 5 years now and have received everything from a simple filling, crown, to a fitted nightguard. She works collaboratively with the top-notch endodontists and periodontists to devise the best treatment plan for your needs. I saw her through the height of the pandemic and was impressed with the measures they took to keep everyone safe and protected. I wouldn’t think of seeing anyone else.

Such a wonderful dentist ! All of the staff here is very welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. Dr.Lena is awesome explains all procedures step by step. Finally found a dentist home!
