Dr.K Dental Albany NY

I’m a nurse at the VA. This office is located close to work and where I live. No fee for parking, I have always used street parking because of the convenience. Dr K uses modern techniques to digitally measure the size of a tooth, and when I first started at this office, she was my third dentist in one year because of a messy molar crown. She got it right the first time! No concerns about chewing or biting down, it’s been a couple of years. My mouth has amalgam fillers from the 1970s and early 1980s. Yeah I have a fear of letting anyone use tools in my mouth. Dr K got me in same day when a top tooth cracked and split. It could not get fixed same day but the compassion of this dentist and her staff is remarkable. I was given a temporary filling and just knowing that my problem is her concern made me feel better no matter what the outcome. I want to preserve the tooth and it seems it is possible. Enough of the root is healthy even though so much mercury fill. Yay hooray to Dr K and staff.

I have had a few issues over the years. the last is a chipped tooth that was told they won't fix cause it will just wear down. I have been in pain for at least 6 months from it and it chipped more. most hygienist are ok but this one used the polishers so hard and fast that it burnt my tooth! now it is looking cracked and is always sensitive. It was the worst cleaning i have every had in my whole life! (49 years) Now I know why people are afraid of the dentist. She was terrible. Sometimes when I ask questions the doctor talks to be in a angry way when I am just trying to understand what is going on. If this is one of the best dentists in town no one knows what a good dentist is. I also made a honest mistake with scheduling once. I put the time in my calendar wrong and came too late and got charged $50 for a missed appointment, meaning i got charged $50 for nothing.

I have been going to Dr K for a few years and I have never had a bad experience. Service is fast and efficient, no long wait times in the waiting area. Receptionist is very polite and thorough and is Dr K and the rest of the staff. Dr K is very professional and courteous. I recently decided to pull the trigger on getting Invisalign and Dr K mapped out the whole process and made it very simply to understand. If you are looking for a top notch Dentist, don’t walk but RUN to see Dr K!
