Endodontic Associates

I just went in for my first ever root canal and was super nervous. They had gotten me an appointment so quickly and everything was incredibly smooth leading up to the appointment, but I had heard a lot of bad things about root canals and was generally dreading it. Enter my dental assistant: I believe Mel was her name? A woman in her mid-late 20s, she was incredibly kind and calming. Dr. Dubberstein did the procedure quickly, professionally, and carefully. They talked me through the process, with Mel gently humming on key (seriously, she had talent) to music in the background during the silent parts of the procedure. 10/10 experience! Shoutout to Dr. Dubberstein, Mel, and whoever invented local anaesthetic - I didn't feel a thing! They really set the bar for taking someone anxious through an uncomfortable experience.

When initially calling to make my appointment, I asked if they accepted my insurance. I was told they did. I also inquired about the use of Nitrous for any X-Rays due to sensitivity. The receptionist advised they generally do not provide that for X-Rays. Today, the Hygienist was less than friendly and not empathetic when obtaining X-Rays. Dr. Hardy was nice and offered his suggestion for treatment. Upon checking out, I was charged $275 and then advised I most likely would not be reimbursed by my insurance due to them being Out-of-Network with my insurance. I asked why I had not been told this upon making my appointment. A woman, I'm assuming Office Manager, said, "Well, I did not make your appointment". I asked why I had not been advised of this prior to walking in the back, having X-Rays performed and having an evaluation done. They had more than two opportunities to tell me that they were Out-Of-Network, but failed to do so. This is unethical and poor business practice.

Dr Duke and Cat were great! When I arrived Cat was prompt to let me know they were running just a few minutes behind and asked if I needed anything while I wait. I waited approximately 5 min past my appt time (I wouldn’t even consider this a wait). Once I was back in the room they made sure I was comfortable and explained what was going on as they were working. There were several team members that stepped in the help/get items to make the process go smoothly. I would highly recommend this office.
