Do NOT come here if you experience dental anxiety!! I can’t fathom how I was made to pay $680 for this horrifying experience. I went in there for a root canal. Like many, I suffer from anxiety, and I made that clear as day so as to receive a bit more compassion with a procedure that is very scary to begin with. Dr. Marielena Gamboa-Ruiz was incredibly callous, impatient, and insensitive. Every time I expressed needing a break or that I was panicking, she would proceed with an impatient, irritated tone. I could barely keep my jaw open at times and she kept letting out sighs of frustration, telling me I need to open wider so she can “do her job” rather than being patient and consoling. The dental assistant didn’t speak a word to me either, even though I was practically in tears during the X-rays. Had a root canal today with Dr. Joseph. It was as good of an experience I could have hoped for (given I was getting a root canal). He made sure to check in with me frequently, and treated my pain appropriately. He worked diligently and as quickly as safely possible. I found the banter between him and his associate really pleasant and comforting. I’m grateful to have had a calm and positive dental experience. Thank you for all that you do Dr. Joseph!

Raise your hand if you think a root canal is an experience you’d rather not have? Well, I had one done yesterday by Dr. Michael Joseph and the process from beginning to end was incredible. The kindest staff around and Dr Joseph explained everything so perfectly that I actually understood what he was talking about. The procedure was painless and for the first time in MONTHS I have no pain in that tooth! i couldn’t be happier with my choice in Cambridge Endodontics and Dr Michael Joesph!
