I really was impressed with the entire experience with Mint Orthodentics Richardson. I went in to get services done to close spaces due to missing teeth pulled years ago; in preparation for getting replacement implants. The team was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I've been a patient with Mint Dentistry (Addison) for years now. I've managed to break my permanent retainer so they referred me to the Richardson ortho office, great! I set the appt online and then called to say "this isn't a full ortho consult - I just need my retainer replaced". They said great, cool. Showed up - I verbally reminded the front desk to which they replied "yep" coldly as if "yeah - I can read". In my mind, I'm trying to save THEM time and resources. I get called back and the rep begins taking x-rays. I'm a bit confused as to why, but go with it (in my mind - is this a waste of resources?). She then asks me "have you had braces before? are you interested in invisalign? You don't really need braces." I repeat - I don't need braces, I just need my retainer replaced, I'm a referral, repeat repeat repeat. She looks at my retainer and says "we're not going to replace it. It needs to be repaired."
