Newport Dental & Orthodontics

I had a scheduled visit for this office to get a filling and four wisdom teeth out. Long story short, they had to redo my filling since i was still feeling discomfort weeks after and my with wisdom teeth removals, i had 3 turn out ok but 1 they had left pieces of my teeth there which it was bothering me and I basically took them out on my own. I changed dentist and it was a way better experience. I had to open a case with my insurance about the horrible experience with newport dental.

I used to love this place and used to recommend it a lot (had previously even left a 5 star review) but ever since I started my Orthodontics treatment 3 months ago, I have had a horrific experience almost every single time. First of all I was DISGUSTED when the assistant who helped me yesterday was in the middle of treatment then reached into her pocket (wearing her gloves!!), took out her phone, used it, then was going to continue working on my mouth!!! I had to actually ask her to change her gloves. Not only that, but they don't use barriers or dental chair covers. I'd be surprised if they even disinfect properly. Also, no one ever greets you or confirms your name or DOB when they take you back. This assistant was particularly rude and condescending but none of them seem to have proper etiquette. The worst of it is that I paid upfront over $3,000 and I get treated like this almost every time. I regret getting my braces here so much. Go somewhere else.

I recently switched to Delta because I was unhappy with my previous dental provider and was given the option to go to Newport Dental. Since day one, their staff is amazing! They are all super friendly and polite, even with all this covid restrictions and craziness going on. You walk in, rinse your mouth, and get seated in a room. The dentist and everyone else are patient and explain everything to you. My last cleaning was with Jeanette, she explained what she was doing before she did it, explained the medication she was using, and every few minutes would check on me and give me a break. I love this place!!
