Very educational experience. Grateful for the professional advice

TLDR: Unethical, greedy dentist. I genuinely suggest know what your issue is before going there and get a second opinion or else Dr. Li would be lying to you to make profit/claim more insurance money. Long Version: He used to be my primary dentist as a child. I originally greatly trusted the dentist, despite that every time I go there are always cavities. As adulthood came, I start to feel some pain due to my wisdom teeth growing sideways. Dr. Li took the X-Ray, asked me what I know about my wisdom teeth. At the time, I did not know it was my wisdom teeth that was causing the problem and explained that I did not know anything. Instead of explaining to me that it was due to my wisdom teeth, he tries to attribute the problem to some deep cavity that is located where it "cannot be captured by the X-Ray". He claims that because it cannot be seen on the X-Ray, my medi-cal insurance would not cover. Hence I would have to pay for the invasive procedure out of pocket. He also proclaim that if

Dr Li, David has been the primary dentist for myself and my kids for 8 years. He is very professional. Not only treat the dental problems in a professional way, but also very focused on teaching his clients how to prevent those problems. Thank you so much Dr Li for what you did for my family! ! !
