Parkway Dental

After reading some of reviews, I see others may have gotten strange interaction with Dr. Lovely. I was wondering at time if he didn't see patients that were Black/African American. I was sent there through state insurance plan and was thinking to see if they'd switch me because got impression he was not interested in seeing me as patient.

I went to this dentist for 15 years and in general, they were average. Office staff and Dr. Prout were very friendly, and I thought my spouse and I were getting good care. However, after leaving Knoxville in spring of 2021, my husband and I had some serious dental issues related to our dental care at Parkway. My husband ended up getting gum surgery because his cleanings had not been sufficient to control his gum disease, and they never mentioned any of this to him. In my case, a very expensive (my copay was $1700) bridge I had in 2020 had to be yanked out this past summer because of the decay under the back tooth. They certainly should have seen this on the xrays I had back in Feb 2021 while still in Knoxville. I'm pretty sure the bridge was never properly installed. I ended up losing the back tooth and now need a $2000 dental implant. I know mistakes occur, but these seem extreme and careless to me.

Steer clear of this place! They cannot seem to file my insurance claim for my cleaning. They made me pay out of pocket and said they would file with Delta Dental and reimburse me. Well that was MARCH 2023! It is now September and I still don't have my close to $700 back. They are idiots and cannot file an insurance claim! I called Delta Dental and they said that each time it was filed with missing info. Well, I went in there and the front desk still cannot get it right after me calling and going in there personally more than 6 TIMES! Yes, you read this right!
