Sage Dental of Lakewood Ranch

This is a Zero star review. After reading everyone’s reviews on here, I’m upset I hadn’t looked earlier. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Truly, I thought I was on a hidden camera tv show. I booked for a cleaning and when I went in, they took an hour for several X-rays in several rooms then tried to up-sell me on a cleaning and said I have some kind of disease. I have pretty nice teeth and take care of them, so I knew something was up. After I said no, they basically said goodbye. I asked why they weren’t cleaning my teeth.. said that they were busy and I’d have to come back in 2 weeks. Annoyed at the time I wasted already, the xrayer scheduled my cleaning. Two weeks later I went in and I basically experienced an hour of horror that I can’t even describe.. nothing like any cleaning I have EVER experienced. Its like they scraped my teeth off.. I feel the practice, and Monica who is of several dental hygienists, have improved my dental health and outcome. The two dentists I have seen at the practice are great as well. What I liked most was the thinking and planning. The office corrected a crown and the reduced my risk of gum disease though appropriate and technologically current treatment. Dental health (and having a good dentist) is important for cardiac health and eliminating prior gum infections was a key to their treatment. Thanks to Monica I no longer need deep cleanings and I have avoided the periodontist. Thanks and good job.

I am over the office in Lakewood Ranch! It was a rushed, chaotic first visit. They were unorganized and rude. They did Xrays and tried to pressure me into extensive work that I did not need. When I refused and told them I was very uncomfortable with their practice and didn't want to continue with them the office manager said that they were not going to charge me. I made it VERY I didn't want the xrays charged to my insurance because I wanted to go to another clinic and get them done there. He agreed, but they charged it to my insurance, even though he had told me on 3 separate occasions that I was not going to be charged.. This tied up my insurance and I couldn't get xrays at the new clinic. When I called back to the Sage office and spoke with the office manager he was belligerent and rude. He said that by law they were allowed to charge for service rendered. This is probably true, but I told them before I ever left their office that I DID NOT WANT THE XRAYS. Now they are billing me fo
