Once again I’m so very pleased with my visit today. The ethics, honesty and professionalism at Sloan’s Lake Dental are what keep me a patient. If they feel they have a better colleague who can handle a certain procedure they suggest them rather than have you first go through any unnecessary work and THEN have to go on to that DDS. Extremely honest. I’ve had a series of complicated issues and have had nothing but quality care at this practice after being let down by another. I’m so grateful to be a patient here.
I went to Dr. Pollack for a cleaning and left with a rec for over 10k worth of dental work. She asked me about my jaw popping at the consult, and despite me not having any pain or problems, she recommended I get Invisalign for my “TMD” because she said it “would be problematic for me later and could be causing sleep disturbances”. She also recommended several crowns, I got 3 done by her. One of the crowns was giving me pain on and off for the entire THREE YEARS she had me in Invisalign. She tried to adjust the trays with homemade plastic attachments to apply less pressure to the crown, offered me prescription meds for it but left me to suffer with it the whole time. I was originally told 9-12 months to complete Invisalign. I asked many times why my case was taking so long and was never given a straight answer. After three years and still no bite (the left side of my mouth couldn’t even touch), and Dr. Pollack telling me I still needed more Invisalign, I decided to consult an orthodonti
BEWARE: They do not respect your time here! Billing errors also. I had a 1:00 appointment for a cleaning and checkup scheduled since 5 months ago. Arrived early but wasn’t called back from the waiting room until 1:15. By the time they completed the x-rays it was 2:00, at which time they simply told me “sorry we’re out of time” and that i would have to schedule another appointment to get my cleaning. My wife had specifically called ahead to confirm i would get a cleaning. So i now have to rearrange my work schedule to get back in. I had an hour long appointment but only got 45 minutes of service. I have excellent dental health, so that wasn’t a factor. I’ve never felt so unimportant in my life. And i was a new patient. Will not be going back as they do not value my business, my time, or my schedule. UPDATE: Just received a bill in the mail explaining my insurance claim was denied. This is because the dental office tried billing my wife’s insurance rather than mine. We have separate
