Disappointed and Overcharged – Get a Second Opinion Before Coming Here I visited Smile Design Dentistry expecting a standard preventative cleaning, but was told I needed a “semi-deep cleaning” because my teeth supposedly didn’t qualify for a regular cleaning. They never explained whether my insurance would cover it and proceeded with an X-ray exam without my proper consent. To clarify: I do not have early signs of gum disease (gingivitis), no inflamed gums, and no deep pockets. Semi-deep clean

I went to this branch for about 3-4 years. While the service was nice, I think I saw a doctor maybe once. The hygienist did the x-rays and told me everything looked great, did a quick cleaning and sent me on my way. My husband was going to Ata Dental and told me how thorough they are, so I decided to switch. I now see a doctor for a checkup each visit, and the new hygienist takes her time and does the deepest cleaning. They measure the depths of my gums, and really check for cavities. They’ve spotted multiple problem areas that I didn’t know existed, and I’ve since been treated. I wish I would have switched sooner!
