A million stars! This place is a god send. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 7 years (gross I know) cause I was so anxious based on previous experiences. Even on the intake forms they're asking you what you want from the appt and what they can do to make it a good experience for you. They talked me through everything they were gonna do and gave me options, they explained everything to me from what's going on in my mouth to what my insurance will/won't cover, and never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed of how long it has been since I got a cleaning. The woman who did my cleaning was incredibly patient and sweet. I had obviously made her job a lot harder since I had years of build up so she really had to work at it but never made me feel bad. It was painful but she let me chose a show to watch to distract me and encouraged me saying I was doing amazing and told me I could tell her to stop if I needed a break. I am beyond happy with Austin Dental Works. I was so nervous about getting my fillings done because I've had some bad experiences with getting them before. Once I expressed how nervous I was, they were super empathetic and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Yes the numbing shots were not fun but the doctor made it as bearable as possible, which I appreciate so much. They asked me how I was doing throughout the whole ordeal, explaining each step in detail and stopping to numb me more once they saw my teeth were still too sensitive. My last dentist didn't do that when I told him I was still sensitive so the entire process was painful, so I'm so happy to have found a dentist that cares. It means a lot. I highly recommend going here.

This was my dental provider for a few years and I generally enjoyed them, but there were problems they made in my treatment that left me needing to obtain consult elsewhere. Their customer service is good, but their practice is new and while they strive to be better, they still make mistakes that may not manifest until later. I also think their prices are steep for the quality of the practice, but that may be by virtue of them operating in a busy area of a large city. I would softly recommend them if more experienced practices are unavailable. Following this review, they did ask for me to clarify which mistakes I thought they made in a private email, and I did. I think this reinforces the fact that they do strive to improve. These were the issues: - During cleaning, a hygienist scraped too hard at my permanent retainer and bent the wire. Since then, my tooth has started to shift. - During whitening, the technician forgot to turn on the UV light, resulting in uneven whitening of my teet
