Honestly the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. They will try to schedule multiple appointments to accomplish what every other dentist can accomplish in one (they wanted me to schedule multiple appointments cause they couldn't take x-rays of my teeth and clean them in the same appointment, despite every other dentist managing to do so). They will push you to spend as much as possible. Their tactics make me seriously doubt the legitimacy of any of their dental diagnoses (I can imagine them telling you you have 12 cavities and that it is critical that they take out all your teeth, give you dentures, and that those dentures will need braces immediately). There are better dentists with better intentions. Go elsewhere.
Amazing bed side manner! New state of the art equipment! Painless!!!! (and I got a root canal) I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best of all worlds in a dentist. Dr. Laura Styron was absolutely amazing, and kept me informed every step of the way. I am one who is very nervous about going to the dentist, but City Dental DC is the absolute best!
Dr. Tsaknis genuinely cares about his patients. He takes time to educate, explain basics, investigate and address the root cause of issues, and empower his patients to improve their overall dental and oral health. At the first visit to City Dental DC the staff took behind the teeth images with this cool little camera device and also X-rays. Dr. Tsaknis pulled up the images/X-rays on a large screen to ask questions, review my oral/dental health history, point things out to me, and spend time educating and sharing ways to improve my dental care regiment. On subsequent visits, he has continued to take time for patient education on things like reviewing the dos and don’t of proper flossing, electronic toothbrush use, and more. In short, Dr. John Tsaknis is by far the best and most thorough dentist I’ve ever seen and I highly recommended him. If you’re looking for a dentist in the DC area, don’t look any further and go see him for thorough, friendly, and customer-focused dental care. Bonus-
