Where do I begin… I staggered into this place in so much pain I couldn’t hold a pen. It was a Saturday and the end of the day- the staff waited for me to come in as I had called in a state of near terror- that was the level of pain. Dr Chen saw me and not only corrected the original root canal, but explained why he treated me differently than my previous dentist. The facility is very clean, high tech, modern. Dr Chen followed up several times with me, not less than a few times to assuage my fears (my tooth drama was trauma inducing). Finished the root canal two days ago here and …. I can chew again. I have mixed feelings about my visit to this clinic. On the one hand, I agree with all the 5-star reviews - the treatment was very professional and friendly. In fact, it was one of the best treatments I have ever had regarding actual dental work. On the other hand, all the communication about payment left me with the feeling that it was a dodgy deal. Being a tourist in New York in April 2023, I was sent to this clinic by another one (apparently, they have an arrangement) and was promised a discount. They forgot or didn't know about it (which is fine), but when I asked them to remove the discounted x-ray from the breakdown, they did, but the final total didn't change. Before the treatment, I asked for a full breakdown but didn't get it - all the doctor was saying was an approximate price and that everything would be fine (remember, I was in pain and honestly had nowhere else to go, so I agreed to the treatment).
