Days to Smile Orthodontics

I was with Dr. Cheng for past 2.5 years and I am very unsatisfied with her unprofessionalism, passive and defensive interactions. I had a complicated case so maybe she could use that as an excuse. However my comment is based my experience as a patient. I don’t need to talk about my complicated case. She does not communicate what is happening and what are next steps. I have made at least 15+ visits to her and every time she doesn’t even explain where am I in the process and what the adjustments are for. She is very defensive for questions I have. She never answer my questions directly. For instance my bracket broke during my long international trip. I asked her what should I do. She told me to repair it. I sent another email asking what should I tell the doctor and if she could share more details what exactly the doctor needs to do since I don’t have the details on what I am correcting right now. She goes: you should get it repaired. I mean yeah right I know that. I paid you top dollars

There is no Days to Smile anymore and Dr Amanda left. I did not get ANY notice before I went there to pick up my new trays today. The reminder this morning is still saying ‘days to smile’ while after I finished the appointment, the name is ‘image orthodontics’. I think I deserve an early notice and need time to think about my next step given the orthodontist left. Super annoyed today.

Dr. Cheng is incredibly helpful and responsive. My friend, whom Dr. Cheng never met before, had an emergency situation this morning, when a tooth unexpectedly fell out upon waking up. I texted Dr. Cheng, and within 5 minutes, she responded and said, 'tell him to call me.' My friend was able to immediately get on the line with Dr. Cheng, and determine next steps to handle the emergency. My friend told me afterwards that he instantly felt at ease. This all happened on a Saturday, outside of business hours. I was super impressed by how much she cares about people. Highly recommend.
