Downtown Phoenix Dental

I have been a patient at Downtown Phoenix Dental for over 10 years. I did not have any reason to leave, but apart from the convenient location, I also did not have much of a reason to stay. I have now found a reason to stay! Despite many trips to the dentist over my 35 years, I have recently started experiencing anxiety leading up to my visits. For the entire month prior to my last filling, every day I felt anxious about the impending procedure. I was nervous when I arrived, especially considering this was my first time working with a newer dentist, Dr. Priscilla Canastillo. However, those fears proved to be unfounded, as she and the assistant (Melissa?) did an outstanding job! Following the injection of anesthesia, I felt absolutely no pain, and the two of them were friendly/understanding throughout their work. The clinic is clean, close to work, staff are friendly and welcoming. but I dont' feel comfortable with the hygentist I met yesterday. she is determined to perform a higher priced treatment (deep cleaning) on me, or else her license will be at stack. I offered to sign some sort of waiver to avoid such issue, so I can get what I made appointment for, she rejected. so it's either I pay more or I find another dentist. wasted 1hr for sure. Not very pleasant experience.

Awesome Dentist!!!! The practice changed hands during the pandemic and both the previous dentist and the existing dentist are excellent. I had a crown done last month and it fits perfectly. They are very detailed oriented and have a very cordial staff. If you need dental work to be done or just a cleaning, this is the dentist to see.
