Be careful with this office and Delta Dental Insurance. They stopped accepting this insurance and did not inform me when I called with my updated policy information. Instead they said they sent a mass email months back and that’s how they were telling patients. Not when specially asked or updating insurance info. My father was a dentist and this is not ethical. Additionally I then asked to just cancel my appointment and they said they would charge me a same day cancellation fee.

I have been going to East Austin Dental since they opened, and the service has changed over the years. Dr. Potter is one of the best dentist I have seen and has been super helpful over the years when I have had an issue. All my fillings done by him have been great. He also helped me with a 15 year old root canal, and I loved the person he referred me to to resolve that issue. As another reviewer mentioned, they are the only doctor's office that does not put you on the waiting list if you want to come in sooner. You must either make an appointment or be on the waiting list; there is no both. I have stuck around because the doctors are excellent, but my last straw has been the weird issues with the insurance they take but don't take.

After moving to Austin and having dental work that was less than IDEAL and very expensive, I was fortunate enough to be referred to East Austin Dental. Dr. Potter and his assistant Rachelle Penny were very professional, courteous, informative and clearly addressed my dental needs. At 60+ years old I have been to many dental offices and East Austin Dental is truly the best starting with the lovely reception ladies, to the great service and honest prices. ❤️
