Gentle Dental Woodstock

Had some insurance issues to deal with and was nervous about it, but the Gentle Dental team was AWESOME. Andrea and Dr. Blakely were super kind and very helpful.

Honestly the worst dental care I’ve received. First off, the dental office did not ask about my dental history and health history until my appointment was finished. As a person with a chronic illness, this is very concerning to have that low standard of care. Secondly, the filling I received was botched and had to be repaired twice due to the dentist’s shoddy work. Thirdly, when I tried to explain my previous dental work, the dentist literally just talked over me to the assistant and ignored everything I said. Then he left after giving me a botched filling to go play trumpet loudly in the hallway. I felt unheard and dismissed the entire appointment, but the worst part is having to go to another dentists multiple times to fix this dentist’s mistakes because I don’t trust his work at all due to the state he left my front teeth in.

We have loved Woodstock Gentle Dental for 10 years but their scheduling has been terrible this past year. We scheduled appointments in the spring and never received our usual text reminders so we missed those appointments. The earliest they could reschedule us was August. I called in July to check on those August appointments and was told that the hygienist we were scheduled with is no longer and the earliest they could get us in was 2024! They should have prioritized patients with appointments (especially patients who have been with them for 10 years!) and contacted us to reschedule with a different hygienist in the same time frame. We are moving to Happy Valley Gentle Dental. Sad to leave Dr. Blakely but we need to make sure we have cleanings twice a year : ( Happy Valley Gentle Dental has plenty of timely openings for us.
