First of all I do not write negative reviews, but I feel strongly that people should know about this office. Beware of scaling plans, get a second opinion! I have a good friend who is a dentist and was told that many dentists are doing unnecessary scaling for the money! At James River I was told I needed a scaling procedure and given a $2,000 treatment plan. After getting a second opinion I found that I did not need a full scaling and had a problem with one of my crowns that scaling will not even fix. At new dentist I was charged $112. My first issue with this office is that they were very pushy about a mouth guard, which I repeatedly said that I did not want, I do not grind my teeth. I wouldn't be surprised if they told every single patient that they need a mouth guard. $$$ My next issue is that I came in for a scheduled cleaning. Rather then cleaning my teeth they immediately began to measure my teeth for a scaling procedure. They did not end up giving me a cleaning. When they

Up to date equipment, caring staff, just an all around good experience. Update 4/4/2023 went in for two fillings, the dentist and assistant did an excellent job of making sure i was comfortable about the whole procedure, got two fillings completed within an hour, they are awesome.
