Smile Design Dentistry San Carlos

I got the name of this office as being part of my dental insurance. I called and specifically stated that the tooth i was coming in for needed a root canal. I asked do you do that? They said yes, I made the appointment and gave them my insurance. The day before my appointment they called and said everything was covered for my initial appointment. I go for my appointment do paperwork. They take an x-ray of my tooth and the dentist comes in30m later and says I need a root canal and they do don't do molars . I stated that was the reason why I called and they told me that you do root canals. A week later I get a bill for $43 because they said that this doctor was not in my group. This dental office is a scam telling you that they take your insurance. Then all of a sudden you get a bill because the doctors not on the plan my advice is stay far away from this group. I paid $43 to find out something I already knew

Mom dropped her dentures & they broke. Although a bit of a lengthy process, after 4-5 visits she had a beautiful new smile. Clarissa, Debora, Jessica, & Dr. Berrios were all amazing not to mention professional. And some of the staff speaks Spanish which was a plus for Mom. Thank you so much!

Dr Mata and her (?assistant) Precious we’re great, painless filling today. very calm and gentle demeanor, desk staff was great. They worked me in and stayed late for me, and worked hard to perform the cheaper method ( filling instead of going straight to a Crown). So I just had a bad experience last month at Great Expressions being a complete predator dental office, and after being a nurse for 35 years I could immediately tell the blatant padding of the bill and predatory feel. I switched immediately to Smile Design. I just appreciate the genuine truth and not someone looking for commission dollars. Here I got told she may be able to just do a filling but once she gets inside the tooth it may need a root canal or crown-good informed consent. I appreciated the attempt at treating me more conservatively. The other pompous place just insisted practically my entire mouth needed crowns, skin grafts and fillings for $10,000 giving me a chance to complain about the area of concern that start
