There are simply not enough words to describe how amazing this organization is. To go above and beyond to help support the surrounding communities and change the lives of children throughout the world with braces! To top it all off, it is such a blessing to have a company like Smiles Changes Lives for parents, like me, who may struggle at times. Thank you so much!
I gave 5 stars in order to warn parents of older teens. I applied when my son was 15.5. They estimate 9 months to a year. I submitted all the documents, dental X-rays, pictures, my son even took a week to thoughtfully and thoroughly write the required essay explaining how hard it was for him to even look at himself in the mirror, he poured his heart out, even talking about the challenges he faces with body dysmorphia disorder, and I paid the non-refundable deposit. Roughly 8 months later I received an email that he was approved and that they were in the process of locating a provider within 100 miles from us and that it should take 6 weeks. From that point I’d receive a periodic email asking me to update any info if applicable. When my son turned 18, yes 2.5 years later, I figured he was all set because he was approved well before his 18th birthday. Smiles Change Lives is one of the finest organizations I've ever had the honor to work with. Everyone in the program, from the board and its founders to the front-line team and volunteers are on an inspiring mission to help thousands of children face their futures with confident smiles. I've personally seen the benefits of the program, from helping kids who were bullied or teased, to lending a helping hand to parents and grandparents who are working hard but unable to afford orthodontic treatment. For my team of orthodontic specialists, working with Smiles Change Lives and the patients in the program is one of the highlights of serving our community and advancing our profession. To everyone at Smiles Change Lives, thank you so much for all you do and everyone you inspire and help. You're literally making the world a better place, one smile at a time. Your #1 fan, Dustin S.
