Went to the dentist here today for tooth pain, she absolutely refused to prescribe me anything for pain after I told her I couldn’t take NSAIDS. She repeatedly stabbed me over and over in my gums to try to upsell me saying that I have tooth bone issues on the side of my mouth that didn’t hurt, she kept saying “oops I’m sorry, oops I’m sorry” I finally stopped her. I have never been so angry at a dentist office in my life! My mouth hurt so bad. This is literally why people say black women are unheard in medical offices, my pain is my pain. If you are a person of color, just bypass this place altogether.

Called a week in advance and made appointment to have my permanent retainer fixed as a wire was broken and irritating my tongue. Upon showing up, the front desk admin said the orthodontist would refuse to see me because I did not get my original retainer placed with them. When I explained I had gotten approval and quoted $350 to get a new one when I made the appointment, they still refused as they said it was a liability since I did not originally get my retainer placed with them…Why on earth would you take the appointment and quote me if you knew I wasn’t an established patient? Bad business practices and terrible customer service.

Everyone in the office made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Hassan is one of the kindest and compassionate dentists I have ever met. I have severe PTSD from a dentist/orthodontist that my parents took me to as a child and a teenager.
