Dentists of Vail

I had an emergency visit. They did get me in quickly and the front office gal and the assistant doing xrays were pleasant. The dentist then came and was nice, but was attimate about pushing for an oral surgeon extraction and implant. The antibiotic that was prescribed (which I had to push to get filled before end of day) was the wrong dosage after I had visited with several dentists to try to get a better handle on pain. I was also prescribed a narcotic . The next day I was extremely sick , reacting to codeine and vomited for 13 hours . I called the dental office and Heather was not very kind asked if “ I couldn’t just wait til next Tuesday” and when I said no and I was having issues and wanted to check with dentist. Apparently they never checked my health sheet they had me fill out as I should not have had that pill with my history of asthma! I never heard back. When the receptionist jackie called the next day to confirm my appt next week and ask for a deposit, I explained my concern.

This is the second time I have been in the office. This group of staff are fantastic. They are professional and caring. I have major anxiety about the dentist. When they were giving me the numbing shots the dental assistant held my hand. Truly compassionate people. I will not go anywhere else.

The dentists and hygienists here have been excellent. We would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone, he is friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Our hygienist Nidia Moreno is also awesome at her job and is very kind, reasonable and helpful. My wife is a little nervous about dentists because we have had some bad ones who caused tooth damage, but here she feels comfortable and confident. The scheduling of our appointments has been mishandled on several occasions. The office generally schedules our appointment 6 months apart, and on two occasions our scheduled hygienist has been changed shortly before the appointment, and most recently though everything had been settled for a regular cleaning 6 months prior and I had confirmed that appointment, they changed it to another procedure from a year and a half ago. That procedure had been discussed and dismissed several times before so to give my gums time to heal on their own with an at-home regimen. I called to fix this strange mix-up, and then when w
