Dr. Backiel and Associates

Dr. Backiel is a pretty honest dentist - she will tell you if something is an urgent matter or if it can wait, and I appreciate this about her. I also love female providers in male-dominated professions like dentistry, so I stick with the practice. However, she spreads herself thin and has since I began seeing her over ten years ago. You get maybe two minutes with her unless you need actual work done, and if that's something that bothers you...I would not consider her for your dentist. The staff turnover is atrocious. The shining star of this practice are her hygienists. Lisa was with me for years and she was the best! Now I have Preet, who does her due diligence. First time I met her, she did an oral cancer screening. I've never had someone do that, and as a healthcare worker myself, screenings are so important! I appreciate her dedication. No cavities at all in one year because of her suggestions!

My previous hygienist was fantastic but my new one is condescending and rude. I come here to have a cleaning, not to be talked down to by people who spell hygienist wrong in their many, many emails.

Dr Backiel and her team are AMAZING! Always easy to get an appointment. The front office is always helpful in handling insurance, and the hygienists - especially Preet - are gentle, thorough, and friendly. Also, there is the sweet puppy that will keep you company while you're getting your work done <3 I've always dreaded going into the dentist, but not Dr Backiel's office. I know that my dental health is in perfect hands - and she'll help with any extra stuff (like whitening, sensitivity, etc.). Luv luv luv! Plus supporting women-led business is bonus!
