I had such a positive experience that I had to write a review. For back story, I had an upper right wisdom tooth that had broken through the gums and surfaced. It came in crooked like a snaggle (?) tooth, but never bothered me until 4 days ago. I had excruciating pain and it felt as though it was pushing into my cheek and pushing on other teeth. My cheek began to swell and I couldn’t fully open my jaw, inhibiting my ability to talk or eat properly. I saw one dentist who barely even spoke to me. Looked for a few minutes, then told me they’d refer me out to an OS to get all four removed. I called said OS and told it was two weeks until an available appointment just for the consultation. I was crying and telling them I had severe pain. I then went to Edgewood Smiles, and not only was the front staff sweet, but Dr. Jillian Felton was so sympathetic with me, it felt like she was the first person to care about what I was dealing with. Where do I begin? The team was stellar from the time we walked into the office. My husband and I were first time patients and we will continue to see this practice indefinitely! We had X-rays, cleaning, and a dental plan for future dental needs. They’re transparent with pricing and they accepted our dental insurance. In addition to my X-ray and cleaning they were able to replace my older filling with an inlay. And, my hubby was able to get impressions made for his partials. They over explained and we’re just extremely kind, efficient, and professional. The team synergy was apparent and I’m just extremely thankful to have found them! I really hate the dentist but, they made me feel comfortable (Jen held my hand). I pray everyone here stays forever because they’re all officially our dental support team!

Couldn't even go to the appointment because they never verified my dental insurance beforehand. Then somehow "lost" the insurance info I submitted prior, in their portal. I completed all the paperwork beforehand and showed up 25 minutes early and it took about 5 minutes for anyone at the desk to even give me the time of day. Very unprofessional front desk people- no one tried to be kind or helpful about the situation with losing my insurance info. No one made eye contact or even acted like I was a human being. Unsure if it was a new person up front or what, but I cancelled my appointment right there and won't be going back. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want professionalism from an admin team. Dental work can be very expensive and it's a stressful situation when you're told that they can't find your insurance info, who would go to a dentist who can't even locate insurance??
