Great Expressions Dental Centers - Wycliff

I have been going to this place for years as I needed treatment and the quality has been okay. Recently I have been there to get 'only dental cleaning' and I was very clear that I did not want anything else. They tried to make me sign bunch of treatments I did not want (like fluoride treatment. No explanation was given of course. Just a paper and 'sign this please'), I did not sign it. In the office they proceeded to take x-rays even though I again told them (before x-ray) that I am there just for cleaning (their response was 'i know but we need to do this too'). Then the doctor comes in and explains that I need bunch of crowns and fillings. But I was there just for dental cleaning? They charged my insurance for the whole thing they pushed on me. I did not want to spend my insurance credit on this. The whole thing felt like an ugly scam. I do not recommend this place to anyone until they change their practices and make an effort to listen.

We feel the dentist that done the work are not very experienced . Took my wife there to have a few fillings. On one of the tooth’s we had to go back three times because it actually hurt worse after the dentist worked on it than before. After about a year and a half the filling fell out. Called them and they said they need to charge more to look at it. Said our best bet would be their discount plan with a yearly cost. So we had to pay the $79 to get the yearly plan. Just to have the tooth looked at to be told that it needs to have a root canal for over 2k. Asked them if they could at least put the filling back in to stop the pain and they said no to just take pain medicine until we could afford the over 2k for root canal.

I’ve been a patient here for the last year or so, but today I had a really bad toothache. They got me in same day and went over treatment plan with me. Of course my insurance doesn’t pay 90 or 100% ???? lol but after explaining I couldn’t afford the out of pocket she mentioned care credit and explained my options. I was able to get approved and schedule next appointment to get serviced. I really appreciate them being so polite every time I come in, being patient and helping to provide alternatives that makes sense to the patients. I referred my boyfriend and he’s also a patient here now. ❤️
