Dr. Jenkins and Dr. Savage are both root canals perfectionists. I trust them with my patients nearly every day and have been doing so for over 6 years now. Horrible experience. I contacted them and they assured me that they accepted my insurance only to find out after my exam that I had to pay 100% out of pocket for my route canal if I wanted it to get done. Prior to my appointment I provided them with my insurance information and all records and X-rays from my primary dentist as well as a referral. I already knew I needed a route canal and didn’t need to be lied to and told they accepted my insurance only to be charged $115 for an appointment and afterwards told I had to pay 100% rather than the 20% copay I was assured multiple times as they accepted my insurance. When I complained and requested to speak directly with the dentist I was assured he’d call me and I have yet to hear from him. When I complained upon calling them back I was told the employee I spoke with was new and she had given me incorrect information but unfortunately I was still responsible for the exam. I had an amazing experience at New Mexico Endodontics. Not only did they get me in quickly, due to the pain I was in, but they are also very friendly, responsive, professional and efficient in their practices. Upon arriving early for all three of my appointments, a staff member was retrieving me from the lobby before I was done checking in. Unheard of! There was no waiting, even when I was immediately seated in the exam room. Dr. Jenkins didn't advise getting a root canal at the first appointment due to the strange disappearance of the pain I originally experienced. I appreciated the advise to wait and see if the pain returned, versus spending time and money that may not be necessary. When the pain returned, they quickly scheduled me to return to the office, but also allowed me to schedule the root canal, thereby eliminating any additional delay in treatment.
