Penn Dental Family Practice at University City

The clinical staff here is absolutely amazing- dentists, hygienists, surgeons, from start to finish each appointment and surgery has gone better than I could ever imagine. I had a crown, root canal, and wisdom teeth removal all done here, and I would recommend those clinical services without hesitation. However, the insurance/non clinical staff has been very hard to deal with. I call, leave messages, get no answer back. People are rude when you do get to someone. I work in health care, consider myself saavy in navigating health care, and have never had such a hard time. a huge contrast to the stellar clinicians.

I've been coming here for the last four years and constantly receive exceptional care. Impressive.

This practice's staff clearly has a hard time working with each other. I asked a question about my proposed treatment and have been waiting 9 days for an answer. The staff often make jabs about each other and some like Lisa were immediately defensive, accusatory, and rudely talked over me--apparently shocked that I would dare call back after they did not follow through on assurances they would call me back in 1 or 2 business days. It has been over a week and I was not helped with my question. (They could have been honest if they needed more time and they could have spared me the details about their own drama.)
