Southern Smiles Family Dentistry

I scheduled an appointment for a full exam and cleaning. I waited over half a hour to be taken back and then the people who took my x-rays seemed to have no idea what they were doing and getting x-rays took over half an hour with a lot of bumping of my face and struggling to maneuver the x ray machine. Then I waited for over half an hour to be seen by the doctor who told me I hadn’t been scheduled for a cleaning and would have to come back. She kindly worked me in for an appointment a few days later even though they’re booked for cleanings into august. Total time in office that first visit was over 2 hours. I came back for my cleaning and have been sitting in the office for 60 minutes just waiting to be seen. I asked the receptionist who shrugged and told me she didn’t know. When I pushed she checked and said the hygienist will see me soon (no apologies). I’ll be lucky if I’m out of here in under two hours. The only reason I came here is because my insurance takes them but I’m going to

We had such an awesome experience at Southern Smiles Family Dentistry. I took my husband and 2yo son for a family dentist appointment and every person we met was welcoming and had a smile on their face. The dental hygienist did an amazing job with my 2yo. I was shocked she was able to actually clean and floss his teeth!! She made him feel so comfortable. She was also very knowledgeable and gave me so many tips for brushing his teeth. My husband and I had a similar experience. We saw Dr. Evans who had excellent bedside manner and did a great job explaining everything. She spent time with us made me feel very comfortable and I didn’t feel like they were trying to add on unnecessary services. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be returning for our cleaning in a few weeks!

I’ve been going to Southern Smiles for 5+ years. While the hygienists change often I really like the ppl each time. They are friendly, ask questions to be sure they know my thoughts & how the cleaning is going, and they always do a great job. And of course, I love Dr. Hollifield!
